2026 George Ball Scholarship Recipient
Elliot Bridges
Elliot Bridges is a 2026 honors graduate from Brookland-Cayce High School where she ranked fifth in her graduating class and served as Student Body President.
Throughout high school, Elliot was actively involved in Project Unified, Sustainability Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Varsity Tennis.
This fall, she will attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she has been accepted into the Honors College and will pursue a degree in Marine Biology.
Outside of the classroom, Elliot enjoys serving her community, spending time with friends and family, and visiting the beach.
Elliot’s father, Matthew, is the owner and founder of Avista in West Columbia.
Applications for the George Ball Scholarship
will open in January 2027.
About the George Ball Scholarship
The George Ball Scholarship is named in honor of Mr. George Ball, a charter member of the South Carolina Alarm Association, whose dedication and service to both the industry and the association continue to leave a lasting legacy. Established in his honor, the scholarship may award up to $1,000 to a SCESTA member or dependent of a SCESTA member pursuing post-secondary education, helping support students as they continue their academic and professional journey.
